On this day in 1915, John M Connley was born in Bellevue, Kentucky. He was the second child of Everett and Marie Connley. He married the love of his life, Stella Baxter in 1940, and died in May 1994. During his life he had three sons, Ron (my dad), Dennis, and John, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, owned and operated two successful businesses, Connley Heating and Florence Dry Cleaners. And he was my grandpa. I remember he had a big garden in his backyard and honeybee hives. I loved his bear hugs, getting quarters for candy bars, and hanging out with him at the “shop.” Who else remembers Grandpa?
